Dr. Sasson was born and raised in the greater New York City metropolitan area.

She pursued her higher education by receiving her bachelor degree in Molecular Biology from Wellesley College and subsequently attended State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School.

Dr. Sasson trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and NYU and was invited to stay on Faculty after graduation.  She began her career as the Clinical Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine - NYU Hospitals/Bellevue Hospital Center.

Dr. Sasson  sought out additional training and became a New York State Certified Acupuncturist.

She started the first rehabilitation - acupuncture clinic in the United States as well as the traumatic brain injury unit at Bellevue Hospital.

Currently, Dr. Sasson is the Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Veteran Affairs-New York Harbor Healthcare System and a Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Sasson practices Integrative Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
